Fig Interiors is an interior design firm located in Madison, WI, with a focus on curating beautiful spaces for families and empty nesters.

Interior design is a luxury that can be accessible for all who are open to seeing the value of working with a professional who can add the highest level of customer service to avoid wasting time and money on pieces and design elements that aren’t quite right. Our founder Shannon Figaro, brings many years of experience and design expertise to help realize the vision you have for your space in a way that fits your lifestyle and budget. Every client has their own personal style, comfort level, budget, wish list, and unique needs. Open communication and attention to detail are the keys to unlocking and achieving the perfect balance of all these elements. We will listen to your goals and help articulate your vision to make your design dreams a reality.

Our designs are rooted in classic and traditional elements, paired with eclectic and vintage accents to create a timeless look. No two clients or projects are alike which allows us to tailor your experience and create a unique and custom finished product that fits your style.

Design Process

I’d love to hear more about your project! Please fill out the new client questionnaire available here. When I receive the form, I will contact you to schedule a complimentary 15-20 minute discovery call to learn more about your project goals.

In our initial consultation, I come to your home or business to meet in person (or Zoom if you’d like) for up to 2 hours. This is the first paid meeting before any project, or can be used simply as a way to ask questions and get ideas. Price available upon request.

What this meeting is for:

  • Discussing your project needs, vision, scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Getting ideas for how to rearrange existing furniture
  • Furniture and accessorizing ideas that you can find on your own
  • Paint color consultation up to 3 rooms (for more request pricing)
  • Ideas for small changes that will have big impact

During this meeting, you will take notes on what we discuss. When necessary, I will send follow up links or info based on something I may have suggested. If product sourcing is requested after this meeting (Referred to as “Designer on Call”) I will estimate my time and this will be an additional cost, billed at my hourly rate.

After the Design Consultation is complete and I have gathered all the info I need, I will follow up with a project proposal. This includes; a scope of work document (to be shared with all stakeholders) a floorplan, digital concept boards, a unique product list of recommended items on your wish list and a breakdown of the overall project budget you have identified in your questionnaire. I use historical information to determine how long I believe the job will take to design, therefore I will present pricing packages for my services that will be the best option for you based on your project.

When you are 100% happy with your plan, we will begin assembling your team. I will hold a trade day in your space and connect you with trusted contractors and subcontractors when applicable. I will work with the team to create a project schedule. We will begin to finalize and order your material selections and any applicable decorative items you have approved with longer lead times.

I will work side by side with contractors for the duration of your project to make sure your needs are met and every detail is accounted for. I will help troubleshoot and problem solve if anything unexpected should arise that is unforeseen and help bring your vision to life. I will continue to order decorative finishes and any furniture or accessories needed.

Upon completion and installation of the project, we will do a final walk through and create a punch list when applicable. I will style your space and take professional photos to commemorate our hard work with your approval. Now for the fun part…enjoying your new space! Nothing brings me greater joy than seeing photos of clients celebrating, living in and enjoying spaces we have created together. My hope for every project is that you love and enjoy the space for years to come!

About Shannon

Shannon Figaro is the Founder and Principal Designer of Fig Interiors, LLC. Her mission is to enhance the lives of her clients by maximizing the potential of their space and working collaboratively to create harmonious environments for them.

Shannon’s experience began in the commercial design world, having worked for the Ralph Lauren Corporation as a Decorative Manager, where she opened new retail stores worldwide. She translated that experience into residential projects more than 10 years ago, after she and her husband started their family and purchased their own home. She experienced the design challenges many homeowners face and decided to use her knowledge to bridge the gap from concept to reality.

When she is not busy creating beautiful things for Fig Interiors, you can find her hanging with her husband and two daughters, at the gym or walking the family goldendoodle.
